Hi I’m Georgia! 

 

I’m currently a fourth year Arts/Law student at Monash University. 

 

Since Year 12 I was passionate about humanities and legal studies and knew I wanted to become a lawyer. I worked hard to get into a Monash Law and achieve my dream. Although I was confident in the path I wanted to take at University, I have experienced uncertainty in the areas of law I want to practice in, and my future career path. 

 

I have tackled this indecision by gaining experience in areas that I have an interest in. I have worked in two firms specialising in Property Law and also volunteered at the Federal Circuit Court assisting in Family Law matters. Through trying different things I am more familiar with the reality of the legal profession and am able to discover my interests and dislikes. 

 

The Monash Law Ambassador program and the Humans of Monash Law project  has made me realise that a law degree can open multiple doors not just in the legal world. Interviewees have both inspired and motivated me to chase after my dreams and always think outside the box for career inspiration.
